From Darkness to Light This painting depicts a young lady walking out of the darkness of the world and into the light of God all while protected under the authority and love of Jesus. Alain, a recent student on my last teaching trip to Cuba, had gone home after class and used his gifting and talent to paint what he had gotten out of my teachings. I was blown away by this gift that he gave to me. It truly shows what we work to do. To show others by our actions and words that God loves us so much that under the protection of Jesus we can walk out of the sin of the world into the light of the love of God. Following Jesus is a process. It truly is a walk through life. It is not easy and we sometimes find ourselves in a dark place, whether by our own fault or the faults of others. But there truly is an answer to living in the light. It is following Jesus and being under his protection and love each day. It is a choice to take Jesus with us daily. From Darkness to Light.... This is what we share. This sums up the goal of our lives. We serve as missionaries to share this message. We, just as Alain, use whatever gifts, talents, and knowledge that we have in order to share this message of walking from darkness to light. Where are you walking and living? In the darkness? In the light? On the path in between? We hope that you know that you can always reach out to us with questions or for prayer. We definitely do NOT have all of the answers but we would love to walk with you and help you find them. | | | |

| Shiloh and Ned Shiloh isn't very verbal but he says so much when he rounds the corner and smiles at Ned. As he heads into Ned's office, he makes eye contact for a greeting and then gets to head to the candy basket. This may not seem like much but for a little guy struggling to find himself in a world of autism, this is life-bringing interaction with someone outside his comfortable world of Mommy and Daddy and Baby Brother. Ned has become a part of Shiloh's healing process through a tiny piece of candy once a day. We all ministry to people in ways and at times that we really don't understand. We do it through the little things of life. Many of the things we do seem like not much but never underestimate the little things that we do that are big things to the people who receive them. Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Keep doing the good things no matter how big or small. | | | |
What are the Walkers doing right now?
We are moving!!
The last week of August, our family will be moving long-term to Santiago, Dominican Republic. We will be working with YWAM Santiago and the Martin Family! We are super excited about this transition. But also praying for wisdom as we figure out visa's, residency, what to do with our things, etc...
As always, we are praying that the Lord will use us wherever we are!
Lord, help us not to miss the things you have prepared for us to do!
