On Sunday, we got to see the Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile. Ned and I had never seen it in person much less the children. If you sing the song, you get a Weinermobile whistle and you get to be a placard hotdog!! Of course, we sang it and are still wondering why we’d do anything to purposely arm Jesse with a whistle but oh well! Here’s the song and a few thoughts:

I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Weiner

That is what I truly wish to be

Cause if i were a oscar mayer weiner

Everyone would be in love with me.

What a profound song! Okay, not too profound in the true sense of the word, but it can give some insight into all of our hearts.

What do we want?
We don’t really want to be an Oscar Mayer weiner! We really just want to be loved. The love that permeates our souls and our beings. The love that says we are important to somebody, somewhere. The love that resonates that we are good enough to do something, anything that is worthwhile.
The cool thing is: We can find that love.
We find it in Our Heavenly Father’s arms. God does love you and you are something worthwhile. What you do is important. "Everyone" may never know my name and "everyone" may never love me.
But the one True God loves me so much! And what I do is important to someone. It may just be my husband or my kids! But that makes is no less important.
I have found what I want and that is to be loved! I am loved by the Lord and so are you.

What are the Walkers doing right now?

We are moving!!

The last week of August, our family will be moving long-term to Santiago, Dominican Republic. We will be working with YWAM Santiago and the Martin Family! We are super excited about this transition. But also praying for wisdom as we figure out visa's, residency, what to do with our things, etc...

As always, we are praying that the Lord will use us wherever we are!

Lord, help us not to miss the things you have prepared for us to do!
