Donate at www.Walker5forGod.com View this email in your browser Greetings from the Walkers The Walkers are all on US soil for a time. We had a great reunion time as a family and were super excited to get to visit the Grand Canyon. But sadly, it was short lived and now we are all separated again. Ned, Debbie and Jesse are in the trial volunteer stage at YWAM Virginia in Richmond, VA.  We are "trying out" staffing here to see if it is a good fit for both our family and for the base here.  So far we are loving it.  Ned is doing some accounting work along with working some maintenance; mainly small engine and tractor repair. Debbie and Jesse have done lots of lunch clean ups and general yard work.  We also all did the ropes course training and Jesse and Debbie helped with our first ropes participants of the year.  It has been fun getting to know people here with the same heart to serve the Lord wherever He puts us.  Sammi is still living in Georgia, working at Meg Pie in Cartersville and looking toward attending Hillsong College in July.  Please email her at sjw8611@gmail.com for more info on what's up with her. Hannah is back at YWAM Mendocino, CA doing a School of Supernatural Missions.  She has some big news coming up so look for her update. We appreciate your prayers as we transition to the states and to YWAM VA in Richmond.  We can not do this with out your support. We are still self-supported full-time missionaries with Youth With A Mission and are sharing the love of God and the salvation message of Jesus with those around us. Jesse and Ms. Thelma We live in a rather poor area of the city of Richmond where there is not a lot of opportunity for the local kids. Ms. Thelma is from South Africa and is on staff here at YWAM.  She does Character Club at the local community center along with coaching soccer. We have all enjoyed volunteering with her and Jesse is her new assistant coach. Jesse is also playing baseball on a local team and is enjoying playing soccer and basketball with the local staff and neighborhood guys. Even if they aren't his favorite sports. We really need your help financially.  We need to raise our support about $600 per month.  Living costs are a lot higher here in the US then in the DR.  We also need to find a home of our own after our trial time.  We will need to raise some money for housing costs and furniture. Email us at Walker5forGod@yahoo.com Donations can be made at: www.Walker5forGod.com View this email in your browser From Red to Blue!  Well, the Walkers are on the move!  We are moving from the "red" Dominican Republic to the "blue" United States.  You know sometimes you just KNOW that you are to do something.  Well, that is where we are. We know that God has told us to leave the Dominican Republic.  So God said, "GO!"...so here we go.  We will be working with YWAM in the US for the next while and we are trusting God to show us exactly what is the best fit for our family.  We are arriving in the US the week of January 24th and will be traveling to visit some of the YWAM locations mainly in the eastern US.  IF you would like a visit, we might just be in your area so please let us know. We know we will be visiting from Florida to Virginia and all the way to Kansas City. So, let us know if you'd like to host us for a night or a meal or just to hang out. We would love to visit friends and touch base. We would also love to share with your church, small group, youth group, Sunday school or whatever fits your schedule best! Please be in prayer for us as we transition and find the best fit that God has for us. Also pray that Jesse can do his school work well while traveling. We are very excited to do missions in the United States! We have learned so much about day to day evangelism and serving so we are excited to put some of this to work in our own country!  Will you please join us in prayer for God appointments as we travel and opportunities to minister to our fellow Americans.   Can you help us purchase this 2012 Ford Escape? In order to check out the different YWAM locations, we have to purchase or rent a vehicle.  Through the organization, www.mats.org we are planning on purchasing this Escape.  We need to raise the money for it or they will help us finance it at a special low rate. We need your help, though, please pray about giving a one time donation or sponsoring a monthly payment! We are asking God for the money for the whole payment so we don't have to finance. New Adventures are coming.  Thanks for being a part! Donations can be sent to: www.Walker5forGod.com View this email in your browser Happy New Year! The end of 2016 and looking ahead to 2017. For our family 2016 has been a year of great changes and travel.  This is the first year that Sammi has not lived with us in the DR.  In August, Hannah left for her Discipleship Training School and is currently serving in Athens and the Middle East until the end of February.  Jesse was a "co-leader" bodyguard photographer to our small team to Cuba and has been adjusting to being an "only" child. A task that is very hard in a foreign country without an American friend base locally. Ned has enjoyed running the office and doing the book keeping for YWAM Azua.  Debbie has travelled and taught a lot and enjoyed it.  She taught in the DTS here in Azua and another one on another island, visited Haiti and Cuba twice.  Ned and Debbie did a training in Kansas City and we also helped host teams here in the DR.  Yes, 2016 was busy but good!  NOW ON TO 2017 We know that 2017 will bring big changes!  The biggest of which we are working on currently.  The Walkers are moving out of the Dominican Republic.  Where are we going?  That is a great question and one that we pray, God will answer quickly. God is faithful and we trust Him.  He has shown us in many ways in the past 6 months that He was bringing change.  He has shown us in the past 2 months that the first step to this change is to go back to the US for a time.  This has been confirmed through many, many people and events.  So for now, we pack and get ready to move.  And we trust God to show us exactly where we are going. He is God and we are NOT! And this is a very good thing! It is NOT too late to give an end of the year donation.  Please consider donating at: www.YWAMOrlando.com/nwalker With the move coming up before January 29th, we are in need of some extra funds to move, to purchase a vehicle in the US and to establish a home there. There are many factors that have gone into this decision.  The biggest is that we feel God moving us, of course.  Other important factors include our vision of hosting teams from the states and wanting to be able to recruit more teams from there.  Another is the fact that Jesse is the only child at home and living in a very poor area of a foreign country is not the best environment for him and does not give him the opportunities for education and sports that is desired.
